In a nutshell, the sun sends down its mighty energy day after day. Photovoltaic (PV) panels are set up in its path (typically on a rooftop or in an open field) and absorb its rays while the sun is shining. When the sun shines onto a solar panel, energy from the sunlight is absorbed by the PV cells in the panel. This energy creates electrical charges that move in response to an internal electrical field in the cell, causing electricity to flow. An inverter will take the direct-current (DC) electricity produced by modules and convert it to the alternating-current (AC) electricity used to power all of the appliances in your home.
By investing in solar panels, you essentially have a miniature power plant on your rooftop that can power your home! You can cover the energy needs for your air conditioning, electric car, pool heater, refrigeration, and more!
