Review of JCO Solar

Our solar system was commissioned June 20, 2023, just in time for all this heat. I think the best way to provide a review is to answer this question – what would you do differently? A different company, a different system? The answer is – nothing.

Working with JCO was different that the others that I got quotes from. They all had their way of showing a solar system but they include credits for the tax credit, the energy savings with the result a much lower dollar number than what you’ll need. You have to ask to find out what you’ll be required to pay in order to install the system.

JCO Solar worked with me to design the system to my needs today and for future plans. As my gas fired appliances die over time, I will replace them with electric. This solar system is designed to meet today’s power needs and then be expandable for future needs, both the batteries and the panels. The inverter – the brains of the system, is large enough for all my future needs while not being too big for today.

They are a small company that has been in business for 2-3 years. They provided references. I have been very pleased with the entire process as well as the end result.

JCO has been extremely helpful since day 1. We had a lot of questions and there was work being done on our house that they had to wait for before we could move forward. They were patient but kept communication going with us so we didn't lose touch. They were very patient with financial and other questions about the panels and batteries. They were able to make a combo of batteries and panels that worked best for our family after considering many options. We needed financial assistance and they walked us through that part as well! Once the install started they kept us in the loop on progress and who was coming and leaving the house. They arranged a softwash of the solar panels once everything was set up. We even had a minor issue with something we wanted installed to monitor our electrical use and painstakingly Jane helped to fix that problem as well! Also JCO continues to help after install with questions about the app! If you are looking for a resourceful, knowledgeable, patient, and kind company to go with definitely go with JCO!!!

I had an installation with which JCO's personnel was unfamiliar. The Ecoflow Smart Home Panel is a new product and they had not installed one before. But they did their homework, downloading the installation manual and studying YouTube videos on the process. Even so, first time installs always encounter bumps in the road, but Jane, Joey and Garrett troubleshot each one. I was impressed that Jane stayed on site all day and actively aided the work. The final product is ready to go, providing solar backup power for the most vital appliances in our home.
